the visitor!

in october of 2006, i got a phone call from a movie prop stylist. she had seen my table at the atlantic antic street fair, and wanted to borrow my tee shirts for a street fair scene on a movie set. this is the movie!!! the visitor, by writer/director thomas mccarthy (who also made the station agent) is opening this friday at select theaters, with a wider release next week. unfortunately, eureka is off everybody's map so i will have to wait eons to see this film. if you are in ny, the movie will be at the sunshine theater - please go and tell me how it is!!

I'll be out of town for the opening, but hope to catch it when I return!

I'm looking forward to seeing this movie. I expect it to be very good, based on The Station Agent, and on the movie makers' taste in putting Raeburn Ink artwork in the street fair scene. I know it will be beautiful.

As is the whole blog which reflects an exquisite, quiet sensibility about what is beautiful and inspiring.

Gretchen and I caught it yesterday. Was fun to see your wares, though the film's outlook is rather bleak.
