my parents came to visit last week, and mom painted this sweet watercolor of the lake at smith college.

i'd love to own a house someday, so i could really redecorate. in the meantime, i'm making our apartment personal with things that i love. the whole place isn't perfect (decorating on zero budget seems to take a while!), but here are a few views that make me happy.

top: i have to keep my keys in the same place all the time, otherwise i'll lose them. right now they're on a sweet springtime plate by lena corwin, on top of our blue bookshelf.

bottom: a view of our kitchen, with my collection of blue papers on the fridge, an eames chair (a gift from my parents), some pictures from the diana camera and coat hooks from delong ceramics.

i came upon this mysterious road on a bike ride. i haven't gone down the hill yet.

sean built me a 12 foot printing table for my studio. i'm super excited that now i can spread out with big projects and print fabric repeats! i have wanted the space to do this for a long time.

the flowers have grown a lot since i took this picture.

i've been working at the computer this afternoon in the sun with my kitty helper.

one great thing about living in a town in the country: walking to the farm to pick up vegetables! we joined the town farm csa this year, and after just two weeks i'm already loving the ritual of walking across town on wednesdays with my tote bag for our weekly farmshare pick-up. so far we've had lettuces, arugula, radishes, salad turnips, spinach and other greens. all so so tasty.

i had a great time at the brooklyn renegade craft fair - we had perfect weather, plenty of shoppers and lots of friends came by to say hello. i love brooklyn and everyone's support for the independent artists!

renegade craft fair!

here it is again - the renegade craft fair!! this year it is back in the park (yay!) and the weather forecast is a promising 75 degrees. i am sharing booth #51 with the lovely cal of hodge podge. please come visit us. i'll be showing new tee shirts and embroidered jewelry and giving great discounts, and if you bring us lemonade we will love you forever. cal has some amazing spring tunics this year, which i am planning to peruse for myself. see you there!
