i have been very busy getting ready for the maker faire this weekend. here's a peek at some new designs. if you are in the bay area, i think this event is going to be really fantastic!

we had an ant infestation in the honey. unfortunately for these little creatures, the sweetness overtook them and they got stuck in it. i love the formations of the honey - it looks like sticky quartz crystals.

i got my first ever batch of eco friendly postcards printed to hand out at upcoming shows.

there are some beautiful moments on the busy country road near our house.

it rained hard yesterday, and the air was so fresh and moist afterward.

i love hard boiled eggs, especially farm fresh ones!

i love the silhouettes at dusk. its staying light later these days, so sometimes we can all go on an evening walk after work.

the fog this morning was perfect for a raeburn ink photo shoot on the beach...

one of the things i enjoy most about life in humboldt is shopping at the arcata farmer's market. today was the first market day this year, and we bought a lot of delicious and beautiful things! among them - a big bunch of lilacs and these farm grown eggs which are actually a delicate shade of pale blue.

there are beautiful spots of sunlight all around the house on these sunny mornings.

the visitor!

in october of 2006, i got a phone call from a movie prop stylist. she had seen my table at the atlantic antic street fair, and wanted to borrow my tee shirts for a street fair scene on a movie set. this is the movie!!! the visitor, by writer/director thomas mccarthy (who also made the station agent) is opening this friday at select theaters, with a wider release next week. unfortunately, eureka is off everybody's map so i will have to wait eons to see this film. if you are in ny, the movie will be at the sunshine theater - please go and tell me how it is!!

we went to my favorite beach this morning. sean surfed, and i took lots of pictures.

water droplets continue to fascinate me.

the sun was really bright on my trip to the beach with the dogs this morning.

the area we live in is filled with redwoods. today on our walk we explored some nooks and details of the neighborhood.
