i am getting a little obsessed with houseplants. we have been slowly building a new collection since moving to mass last year. right now we have a decent number of happy specimens who thrive in our not-bright-sunlight conditions, but i always want more. in the recent dwell magazine i read about a 3400 square foot house that was HALF GREENHOUSE!!

i also want these awesome planters to hold them in, from boskke (top, via oh, joy!) and woolly pocket.

i've been looking back through pictures from the summer, and we saw so many beautiful flowers in the mountains in california.

we had a fun trip to the beach in new hampshire at the end of august. it was my first east coast "hurricane" swell surf session. surfing is really fun, but i still haven't gotten the hang of the paddling.
