at the ACC show, i traded two patchwork handbags for these amazing pieces of jewelry from jane d'arensbourg - i have long admired her pyrex glass work, and i'm so glad to have some of it in my small jewelry collection....  

i took some photographs of my new patchwork pillows this morning on my parents' couch - a much more sophisticated setting than my own couch.  i'll be posting them on etsy this week!

AltCraft

It was a crazy weekend with my trip to Baltimore for the ACC show.  It was great to be a part of AltCraft, and I'm so glad for the exposure to an entirely new market.  Sales weren't great, but I met some amazingly talented folks and worked many hours on some new products and my best display ever.  My parents were so generous and came down to Baltimore with me to help!  

A few inspirations from the show:  I discovered the glass work of erica rosenfeld,  always love the knits of elyse allen, and totally scored with some trades with fellow AltCrafter jane d'arensbourg - more on those later!

ah, my poor forgotten blog!  i have been busy with a big freelance project, and preparations for AltCraft, the "indie craft" section of the American Craft Council show in Baltimore this weekend.  i'm so excited to be participating in this amazing event!  rushing around this week with last minute preparations...  if you are going to be in Baltimore this weekend, come to the show!!

i took a beautiful snowy walk this afternoon along the river that runs through the smith college campus.  the spot is right in town, but feels like its far out into the woods!

i haven't posted in a while, but i'm back with this great inspiration - the sol lewitt exhibition at mass moca.  my family went during our christmas visit, and it was amazing.  seeing such a broad range of lewitt's work in one place is a real treat.  geometric forms and colors, two of my favorite things.  put it on your itinerary!
