we went to see the chrysanthemum show at smith college last week.  they have such a beautiful conservatory!  

i have been working on some new designs, i love the way the drawings look on tracing paper

the world seems somehow brighter today.  i spent much of the morning pouring over the newspaper, elated, tired, and emotional.  it has been a long time since i felt like a part of this country.  now i am proud we have elected a true leader - thank you, barack obama!

sean and i drove to new hampshire a few weeks ago and had a lovely visit with dear friends kelda and kaia - and kelda's sweet finn!  here are a few moments from our day - an art studio tour, lovely fall foliage, and a bit of time in the yard...

a few weeks ago sean and i went to the big E, the county fair in nearby springfield.  i'd never been to this type of fair before - it was fun to look at all of the farm animals!  unfortunately my camera ran out of memory before we got to the antique tractors and tiny nursing piglets.  we passed on the funnel cakes, dizzying rides, and generally overblown commercialism at the fair.
